FLAVOR

Dimensions: 48” x 24” inches
Medium: 3,400 branded cigarettes on wood panel

This artwork is part of an ongoing installation series designed to engage audiences with the power of typography in unconventional mediums. In this piece, I utilized over 3,400 cigarettes, spelling out the word 'flavor' with half-smoked cigarettes to reveal their nicotine content. Through this concept, I aim to challenge conventional perceptions of artistic expression and demonstrate the versatility of typography beyond traditional screen and print-based forms.

By employing cigarettes as both material and message, 'Flavor' prompts viewers to contemplate addiction and society's perceptions of smoking. Through this distinctive approach, I aspire to initiate conversations about the impact of visual stimuli on our collective psyche and society, with the goal of prompting reflection and inspiring change.

"Flavor" was showcased at The Museum for the Printing Arts Leipzig, Germany, as a featured piece in their exhibition titled "Typography in Contemporary Art.
